These are the items that have been procured for the new operating station that will be housed in/on cabinets and countertop in the EOC of the Department of Emergency Management of Caldwell County. The equipment will enable the Lenoir ARC, Caldwell County ARES, and CERT to operate on 2-meters, 220, and 440. Future plans include procuring an HF Rig and antenna as well as a TNC for WinLink 2000 capabilities to effect statewide and nationwide interoperability to provide the citizens of Caldwell County & surrounds a quality communications system. HATS OFF TO CALDWELL COUNTY EOC/EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT!!! In addition to the above, plans will have to be made to equip our newly-donated and received Disaster Unit Trailer in a timely manner. Antennas, rig, a generator, and miscellaneous accessories will have to be considered...as well as repainting and applying club and ARES logos. Page 8
